the shadows and light on those eggs are perfect. the warm and cool areas really make them sing...out loud. and the treatment of the nest brings the eye right to them. excellent work and a testament to it's quick sale! congratulations my friend!

I like the light and shadow created in this one! It's really like we are voyeurs peeping into this tiny home.

The Familiar Nest
I remember this day,
the twentieth of May,
when the Phoebe's returned.
They've returned every year,
to nest, at home right here,
a pleasure to behold.
Like the Phoebes who come,
back, your nest is like some
art that has to come back.
Variations, a theme,
getting better, a gleam
of maturing fine art,
and you've mastered this nest
it is one of your best,
masterful strokes, paint on.
