Gentle Passing

Some dear friends recently sent the most gorgeous bouquet of mauve roses and white calla lilies. Breathtaking! I shot many reference photos. This rose was past its 'prime' and losing petals, but I love its sort of gentle resignation. I'm in the process of trying to figure out if I can get flowers to do what I envision better on the black background or not. More to come... Here's some of the musical inspiration. I'm a big Van fan...and this is one of my favorites.
