Lemon Aid

Yet another in my featured palette color series. A friend suggested this title for a previous painting, but I thought it was perfect for this one. Doesn't it look like the lemons are looking to the tube of Cadmium Yellow Lemon for guidance?...assistance?...color ?? The musical accompaniment. Love those lemons!

I was looking at this painting on Google Reader, on my blog. The blog page has a white background. When I clicked over here with your dark background, the painting looks totally different. Having a blue background affects how the colors look in the painting. I mean, I know that, but I was really struck by the difference this morning.
