I went to the site with the challenge to see what everyone else came up with. Hands down - yours is my favorite. I'm not just saying that because I like your work in general and I follow your blog. Your painting has a sense of place - perhaps because of the dramatic highlight on the cup. The colors are grounded by the surface the mug sits on. Last but not least - your brushstrokes have movement, expressing, to me, that there is life there. The passing of time is evident in those brushstrokes.. This was a great exercise that allowed the best of your style to come through. Well done! Carolina
