I had fun with this one! I just love the intense pink of my Converse Chucks and have painted them several times. Though I'm not really a diamond type of a person, I've always liked the idea of walking with 'diamonds on the soles of her shoes'...it's more of an attitude or frame of mind. I thought this painting was a perfect place to put diamonds on the 'souls' of my shoes. The metallic powder pigment doesn't sparkle in a digital scan. I'm hoping the close up photo shows the effect a bit better.
