In fact I have in my studio, on the window ledge right next to my easel, a rock with a perfect circle that Bren found and gave to me. She could have kept it for herself, but no. It was the ultimate act of a loving friendship! : )

I love the unexpected of this painting. I have rocks with those small white quartz veins. I didn't think to use them as painting subjects until now. Its lovely the way an artist's art can open the eyes of other artists.
