Between a Rock...

Hi, it's Bren here. I've had a couple of days of feeling pretty good, so decided to give Carol a day off with pay( Ha! the check's in the mail, Carol!) and post myself.
This is the last painting I did before my recent bout of illness, so I painted it almost three months ago. The stones are from the beach at Cape Breton, Canada. I love how the waves tumble the smaller pebbles onto, over and around the larger stones.
** and stay tuned in the next couple of days for a project of mine I've been able to get in amid elixir (chemo) treatments. Possible early Christmas shopping for friends who like to know what day it is...**

Passing along a poem in the public domain:

How happy is the little Stone
by Emily Dickinson

How happy is the little Stone
that rambles in the Road alone,
and doesn't care about Careers
and Exigencies never fears—
whose Coat of elemental Brown
a passing Universe put on,
and independent as the Sun
associates or glows alone,
fulfilling absolute Decree
in casual simplicity—
