This is the second painting I did while camping. The sunflowers back here in Dixmont are beginning to open. We've not had much rain so they're a bit delayed. Since my husband plants hundreds and hundreds of them each year, the anticipation is delicious! Great contrast betwn bkgrd and foreground in detail and texture. and of course the colors are rich!

Great painting, Brenda! I love the unfocused background with the detail of the sunflower.

And you should post a photo of all the sunflowers in bloom.
