King of the Hill

I've got another series going here...but first a few thoughts about the generosity of artists...one in particular. I found this little pig at Goodwill a few weeks ago for 89 cents. I immediately had some ideas for painting him but sort of consider this little guy, or a similar one, Carol Marine's signature pig. So I emailed Carol to ask her honest thoughts on the matter. Not surprisingly, she graciously said, "Paint away! " That's Carol...always encouraging, never DIScouraging. So, thanks to Carol, I've had a blast with these! Here's the first of many in the Porcelain Porcine Series. And here's the music that had me rockin'. (To continue looking at the art while you listen, right click on the colored word 'music' and go to Open Link in New Tab.)

The pig is a perfect tool for you to use as you learn more and more about how to paint white objects. I am glad that Carole didn't have any objections. I wouldn't think she would. Carolina

Great series with lemons, Lemon Aid, Not So Mellow Yellow, and now King of the Hill; it would be great to see this series hung together. When it comes to lemony Cadmium Yellow, you're quite the cad.

these are wonderful!
I too, am enamored of Carol's pig porcelain pig paintings and recently found a couple of "models" in the Dollar Tree. SO, I had to paint them.
