Go with the Fro

This is one of my favorites and the last in this pig series...though he'll show up again for a brief appearance in the next mini series. Stay tuned...it's very Zen. From this porcelain pig series I learned a lot about creating whites and mixing and using grays harmoniously with other colors. I'm also constantly learning about light. I think that's a perpetual lesson. Thanks to my friend Jim, for the cool title. Here's the appropriate music. (To continue looking at the art while you listen, right click on the colored word 'music' and go to Open Link in New Tab.)

Clever title. Beautiful job on these grapes, with the lights and darks.

What a great one to end the series on...it's so funny! Too bad all good things have to come to an end... Love the series!

Say WHAT?! The piggie series has come to an end?? Oh, I'll miss this little model. He plays so well with others, and can accessorize like nobody's business. Plus, he knows how to work every angle, every color, every pattern, every shadow, and every bit of light to perfection! Or...hmmmm...could it be YOU who works this magic so effortlessly? Models these days. They get all the glory. ;) Congratulations, Bren, on a fabulous series.

Is this really in the piggy series or is it a subliminal self portrait?

Beyond your humor, which is always amusing, it's masterful how you've painted the grapes, from the cool opaque-looking dark grapes on the left changing to the warm translucent grapes on the right with the gradations between.

This could be used in a painting class.-Art Maine
