Pumped

Our neighbors, the organic farmers at Peacemeal Farm, use two of our fields each year to rotate crops. I love to see what's growing and to watch the harvest. This year they planted pumpkins in one field. I wandered down and shot reference photos before they harvested all of them. They grow everything! And it all looks as good as it tastes! Here's the musical inspiration for this piece. (To continue looking at the art while you listen, right click on the colored word 'musical' and go to Open Link in New Tab.)
I've included a few steps along the way.

This bright, bold piece makes me happy: maybe because it symbolizes the change of seasons and the fall harvest and so on. Love it.

It just leaps right out towards you! I love paintings that bulge like that rather than pull the eye in. They have such a different feel. You just want to go touch it. Well done.
