Gull's Day Out

I spent this past gorgeous sunny Sunday at Schoodic Point with my dear friend, Sue and my two daughters, Molly and Sadie. Though the gulls weren't aggressive, they were rather assertive and one ate out of Molly's hand and off her knee. I shot lots of close ups of these beautiful birds. I particularly like the lit end of this one's beak where the light shines through. What a great time we had lounging in the sun, soaking up the salt air and picnicking on the rocks. And as the sun crossed the sky, I was grateful for the perfect girl's day out.

Brenda,
What beautiful colors in the gull and I love the sparkles on the water! You captured it well.
I'm headed to Haystack Mt. in Deer Isle for a 3-day art conference. It will be wonderful to be by the sea!
