Nosegay

I recently spent a day visiting the most incredible public gardens. I shot a TON of reference photos. And what did I decide to paint first from the excursion? This simple small vase of flowers I noticed on the shelf in a bathroom! :o)

Nice diagonal in this one makes my eyes go right up to the flowers. We always have to paint what we are most drawn to first, right?! Looking forward to seeing some from your other reference photos.

A great choice, Brenda! It just glows, and the rendering of the flowers is excellent. A favorite!

Very nice, Brenda. I love the colors in the wall. You carried the same colors into the white daisy. Or maybe it was vice versa. Anyway, I love that. I also like the facets on the vase. This is a cheerful and appealing painting!
