Whatchu Lookin' At?

What can I say? I just plain had fun with this! A while back I went for an early morning ride to see the spring greens beginning to sprout at sunrise. I came across a small group of cows in a field. These two seemed intent on my photographing. As the painting progressed and all I had left was to add the background, I just kept looking and looking and I couldn't think of anything that would look more perfect than the red that was already there...so I left it. And I'm glad. And so are the cows.

Wow, I love this. Yes, the red is perfect for the background! I especially like how they look like they just woke up... ha, kind of like how I feel right now sipping my coffee! Nice work and a joyful piece to see this morning!

As always, I love your interpretation of 'white'. And, yes, the red background seems perfectly natural here! A great, fun piece, Bren!
