Every summer my husband plants hundreds and
hundreds of sunflowers all around our property. We harvest the seeds to have plenty more for the next growing season. I enjoy them in bloom, I've painted them again and again...and they're even 'cool' in winter.

What an interesting subject...being a So. Californian...something we would never see, lovely work.
Very pretty! Mine have had snow many times before...
Ohhh...I can feel the weight of that snow! Love the pops of color against that gorgeous sky, and the way you carried the orange throughout the stems and leaves. Just great, Bren!
Everything just right in this, composition, color balance, beauty, strangeness, light, a stunner!
Great subject matter! Flowers in the snow!
This is terrific! I love the way you carried the oranges down into the stems. Really beautiful.
I can't believe you are having snow! It is still very warm here.
