I have begun working more with panels I create myself. I use Art Spectrum Pastel Primer on acid free mat board. Using loose brush strokes and custom colors, I am able to create a toothy somewhat textured surface which accepts the pastels nicely. I can get a richness and depth of color that I'm enjoying.
