The Gift of Friendship

When my buddy Carol Marine was here visiting recently, of course, we got to talking about art and creating it. The subject of reference material came up and how we have thousands of images, but lose the initial enthusiasm we had when they were first taken. Carol had the BRILLIANT idea of spending time looking through each other's images and choosing some we could draw inspiration from. Well, I think I got the good end of this deal as Carol's reference photos are as artistically stunning as her paintings! This is the first of many I'm excited about doing. It's fun to paint places and flowers and scenes you wouldn't get images of otherwise. As always, thanks for the inspiration, Carol!
