Seeing Spots

This is the last in this polka dot series. I really love the colors in this one. It also begins a mini series of pears. I painted four, each one totally different from the next in terms of color, value and temperature. I'll post them over the next three days.
Oil on panel, 6" x 6"

On Seeing Fine Art Spotted

Seeing Spots is a
phenomenal painting.
This is a masterpiece of color.
First the pears are perfect,
colors and textures, wow.
Then the background colors
are out worldly,
complementing the pears
yet taking the eyes
on a color tripping trip.
Finally the pull it all together
subtle element is the
light green pear shadow
on the spotted plate
that you discover last,
but that keeps pulling you in
and looking at this painting
again and again and again
and again...Seeing Spots
is a phenomenal painting.
