Waxing

I don't think I've ever painted just a sky before. It was a peaceful one to do. The pinks in the clouds are primarily the background color glowing through. I tried to retain that and not cover up too much of it.

The clouds do glow with light. And the dark clouds add the perfect balance. Lovely painting.

"Waxing" is a word that is rarely used any more, except I sometimes hear it in a weather report referring to the stage of the moon. Love your use of it for your title!

Brenda, what a beautiful sky! Now if Pegasus was flying up there, it would be perfect! Those colors always make me think of Pegasus, my favorite mythological creature.
