Lightness

Some feathers from the lovely roosters. They were shed, not plucked! I'm delighted that this painting will live in the home of my dear friend, Suzanne Berry.

    Light...

    to the touch,
    to the eye,
    with brush strokes
    that whisper
    a soft touch
    with warming
    color, cool
    hue-filled
    shadows, all
    lightness to
    pure delight
    to the touch.
