Quints

My lucky friend has some Eastern Phoebes nesting right above his front door! He's been snapping a few photos as they've hatched. He graciously agreed to let me paint from them. This is not at all what the image looks like, but it's my first interpretation. I did another version I'll post soon.

    is a color full nest
    from this artist's brush
    while five fragile lives
    have no idea that a nest
    is quintessential.
