Venus

Here's another with the flat black-gessoed background untouched. I'm really pleased with this one. I like the striking contrast and the visible brush strokes in the petals. Yesterday's and today's paintings look great together. I really like working on black. Maybe I'll try some bull dogs playing pool next...
In honor of David Gilmour's 67th birthday today, here's some great painting and relaxing music. That man just keeps getting better...
