Exposed

This is the first of four paintings where I am focusing on a few specific things. First the graphic background; second, the major role the cast shadows play in the composition and third, the fruit flesh. There is a lot going on there...loads of variations in creamy  yellows, greens and peach. And as always, I love the beautiful shape of pears.

    Overall, graphically great,
    compositionally fun
    snuggles of the halves plus
    the stem and shadow; then the
    detail of the seeds in the
    facing pods, pear accurate.
