Out of Season

I know it's the wrong season for an amaryllis...but I was looking through some old reference photos, came across this one and really felt like painting it. How nice to be able to paint whatever we choose whenever we want!

    Why is this the wrong season? Mine are just starting to bloom in SC. This is a fabulous painting.

    Amaryllis are always in season somewhere- they are one of my favorites. You did this beautifully. I love the background color.
