Every summer my husband plants hundreds and
hundreds of sunflowers all around our property. We harvest the seeds to have plenty more for the next growing season. I enjoy them in bloom, I've painted them again and again...and they're even 'cool' in winter.
What an interesting subject...being a So. Californian...something we would never see, lovely work.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Mine have had snow many times before...
ReplyDeleteOhhh...I can feel the weight of that snow! Love the pops of color against that gorgeous sky, and the way you carried the orange throughout the stems and leaves. Just great, Bren!
ReplyDeleteEverything just right in this, composition, color balance, beauty, strangeness, light, a stunner!
ReplyDeleteGreat subject matter! Flowers in the snow!
ReplyDeleteThis is terrific! I love the way you carried the oranges down into the stems. Really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you are having snow! It is still very warm here.
