Distant Summer

I began these strawberries at this Saturday's mini pastel workshop and finished them today.

Cheryl and Dawn are enthusiastic learners willing to try anything... even persevering through the muddy middle of under painting with pastels! It really paid off. They've shown visible improvement. 

This was their second workshop here. They are happy painters and hopefully they'll be joining me again.

Looks like a fun and wonderful day was had by all! Love how your brushwork in oils seems to be carrying over into your pastel work. Nice!
